Facing community opposition to the redevelopment of the Farmington Valley Mall, Konover Management called Beacon to help educate concerned residents and community leaders about the impact of the redevelopment on surrounding neighborhoods. Beacon’s plan identified specific constituencies and their concerns, and provided specific recommendations for educating residents. A supporting media relations effort informed the community and created positive local support for the renamed Simsbury Commons development. Konover moved forward with the project with significant town and public support in a timely and cost-effective way.
